How I rode 1000 km in 7 days

This post is after cycling 1003 kilometers in 7 days on a Fuji Touring Disc 2021.

If you wish to do long touring on your cycle, I would like to share my experiences through this blog. Your feed back is highly welcomed so that I shall strive to present better in my upcoming posts.

A very peaceful border due to Covid restrictions.
Curiosity carries no boundaries
End of day 2
Gateway to Amritsar. The tallest in the NH1 with 100 feet height having no support covering the entire 8 lane.
Every individual has a unique way of living
Youngsters in Firozpur district say they need more attention from governments towards their wages. They spend nearly 10 hours over 40 degrees to earn mere 300 INR
Historical city ,Firozpur
The receptionist at Kings hotel Firozpur,  Niyaz Ali.
Am fond of rice and vegetable whenever I ride long.
Clock tower ,Fazilka,98 feet tall built in 1939 on June 6 , a mere coinincidence for me.
The impact of Rajastan is visible In Fazilka district.
He doesn’t even mind if I touch
En route Abohar…
Abohar wild life sanctuary is maintained by 13 mishnoi villages, the animals like antelopes enjoy the freedom of moving around. The best example of natural co existence

Never forget to hydrate and keep ORS in this stretch. Temperature shoots up to 48 at certain points.

My RPR jersey…quite close to my heart.
When you compare the hardships of others n hot weather , riding a fancy cycle is not at all a problem..
You will see a wide range of vehicles in Malwa and Majah especially tractor based variants.
The government needs to revise the wages. Most of them are compelled to work for low pay scale owing to poverty.
Des Raj , a rickshaw pullar now , who lost his security guard job in a school at Mandi Dabwali due Covid lock down says he prefers the present job due to higher pay scale despite the hardworking. To my surprise , the higher pay was 300 INR per in comparison with 200 in school for night duty.
Mandi Dabwali is well known for jeep and other vehicle modifications. The temperature was 43 degree that made me to push forward instead of exploring  the market.
Morning in Patiala
Back to NH1
Be like animals that never damage the earth in any form ,instead, lead their natural way of life.
After riding from Rajpura in NH1 the only place with shade was Phillaur Verka point
30 kms more to touch 1000 mark
A satisfying moment when you achieve a target.

This trip was an eye opener for me to know about Punjab from a different perspective which is much more wider and clearer than what I have been told by the media as well as others.

I hope I will be able to make more of such travel to knkw the pulse of various parts of India.

It is well said that , India is a luxurious jungle of cultural phenomena.
